SRP ALBANIAN ENGINEERING

Belsh is a municipality in Elbasan County, central Albania. The municipality was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Belsh, Fierzë, Grekan, Kajan and Rrasë which became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Belsh. The project is divided into two segments, respectively the first segment in the part near the lake of Belshi which has a length of L = 610 m to the valve chamber which will be designed as a new line with gravity. The second segment in the upper road at Lagjia Hysaj it is foreseen to be built as a new network K.U.Z near the olive groves down road at a length of about L = 600m to the kindergarten.

The measures of this project shall contribute to the sustainable development of the area by improving the living conditions of the population and reducing health risk of inhabitants and visitors on a medium and long-term perspective. Project Implementation consists of: Technical Report; Technical Specifications; BoQ; Cost Estimation; Technical Drawings; Environmental Impact Assessment Report.

In the scope of the project “Implementation Design of the Sewage System for Belsh City, Hysaj Neighbourhood” Consultant considered the implementation design as follows:

• New Main Sewerage Transmission – Belsh Center (K3) which will cover the part near the lake, aligning the pipeline to the pavement of the city entrance road in front of the pedestrian area. To avoid further discharges of untreated wastewater into Lake Belsh, the construction of a sewage pumping station is considered very important. This station will perform mechanical lifting of flows collected in K3.
• New Main Sewerage Transmission – Belsh Hysaj (K2), will cover the area from the Olive Neighbourhood where is the starting point of the existing network (DN = 400mm) to the Kindergarten. This pipeline will operate with mechanical lifting with the help of a New Pumping Station due to low elevations and cannot be connected to the existing network.

Main Sewerage Transmission – Belsh Hysaj (K1). One of the main tasks of the project is the extension of the existing network and completion of the missing and / or informal pipelines. This existing main covers the part from the Olive Neighbourhood where is the starting point of the existing network (DN = 400mm) to the junction point in front of the Pedestrian. New manholes are foreseen for secondary lines, while the connections of house connections and businesses to the distribution network will be realized with DN150-200mm pipes.

SRP Albanian Engineering is responsible for the design of the water supply measures. The Implementation Design contains all the required documentation, reports and any other information essential to carry out the construction of the sewage network in accordance with the basic design.
Specific services offered:
o Preparation of hydraulic models, relevant calculations for sewage system;
o Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment;
o Preparation of structural calculations and structural reports for all components included in the project;
o Preparation of detailed drawings for the works described above;
o Preparation of cost estimates, for the proposed measures according to detailed design;
o Topographical Survey;
o Geological Survey and Report.
