European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi chose the “Tirana Student City” to start his visit to Tirana, where he inspected the progress of the project for the reconstruction of the dormitories together with the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, and the Ministers of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku. An investment made under the responsibility of the European Union and Germany.
The Program concerns the rehabilitation of student dormitories (19 buildings) of Student City 1, specifically the increase of structural integrity, energy efficiency, and basic comfort, aiming on significant energy savings and providing adequate living and working conditions.
SRP Albanian Engineering is involved as a local sub contractor for the implementation consultant the JV of Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, BPR Dr. Schäpertöns Consult GmbH & Co. KG and Architektengemeinschaft MM+H GmbH.
